I have a background in geography (GISP certified), ecology (Certified Ecologist with the ESA), and forestry that is focused on understanding the historical, present, and future temporal and spatial influence of climate, natural disturbance, and human activities on the earth's surface, specifically the temperate forests of North America.  I use a combination of field measurements, inventories, and geospatial technology (GIS and Remote Sensing) to understand how our natural resources change over time and space.  I always look to new trends in technology that might help to facilitate, streamline, and maximize current and future data which can be used to understand where those trends are and where they are going.
