Karl Schrass

Schrass, Karl

Karl Schrass serves as Climate Adaptation Manager for the NWF’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Center. Previously he worked at the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security and the Munich Climate Insurance Initiative in Bonn, Germany where he focused on climate change adaptation, resilience, and insurance in developing countries. Karl is a geographer by training and studied at both the University of Delaware and the University of Bonn.

Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, he is passionate about helping the wildlife and residents of the Mid-Atlantic region address the challenges posed by a changing climate. Outside of work he enjoys cycling the backroads of Maryland’s Eastern Shore and exploring the local hiking trails.
